Anime Origins Launch Notes
Day-one Roblox snapshot: visits, codes, and live modes.
Anime Origins launched on Roblox on 14 August 2026. The developer is Origins Project. The genre is tower defense with online co-op, free private servers, and a public cap up to 22 players. This page is the day-one snapshot for the wiki: how large the lobby looked, which modes were on, which codes dropped, and what a new account should do before chasing Immortal pity. It is not a live counter. Visits will move. We will date a new snapshot instead of pretending 1.4 million was eternal.
If you just installed the experience, skip the lore and open getting started plus the codes hub. This article is for players who want the launch context behind those checklists.
Player snapshot (launch window)
During the opening window the Roblox experience page showed roughly 1.4 million visits, about 21,000 players in session, and about 7,000 favorites. Those figures are a snapshot, not an average across the first month. Favorites lag visits on every Roblox launch; 7k favorites against 1.4 million visits is a normal early ratio, not a verdict on the game. Concurrent 21k means public Story lobbies were busy and private servers were the sane way to test placements.
Use the snapshot to calibrate advice, not to flex. A 21k concurrent launch is large enough that unit kits leaked fast, trait tables got crowdsourced, and codes expired in Discord before some players hit Level 10. It is also large enough that a random public lobby may already have a Madara you can Copy onto Cursed Lover. Online co-op is the point, not a footnote.
Modes that were live on day one
Story Mode was the account engine: waves, bosses, EXP, and evolution materials. If you only play one mode in week one, play this until your carry is evolved.
Infinite Mode was live as the sustain test. Income breakpoints matter. Bluma’s Training Data and Leorio’s Golden Refund exist because Infinite does not forgive a board that cannot pay for the next cooldown upgrade.
Raids were live as the material and party mode. Valcrad’s Coffin Trap and Ascendant’s boss percent are Raid tools. Showing up with four Tranko placements is a Story habit that dies here.
Summoning, EXP feeding, evolutions, and trait rerolls all shipped with the client. There was no “traits come next week” gate. There was a Level 10 gate on the orange Codes button, which is why launch codes sat unused on accounts that never finished the first chapters.
First code wave
Origins Project seeded a launch list that included GAMESPEED, TYKaito!, THANKYOU!, Origins, AO, and Release!. Rewards on those strings were Gems, Trait Rerolls, Stat Prisms, and Perfect Stat Prisms, in mixes that change if a code is retired. This page names the wave so searchers land somewhere dated. The codes hub is the live table with copy steps and expiry notes. Do not paste from memory after a Discord announcement says a string died.
Redemption is the orange Codes button on the right side of the HUD, then Redeem. The button stays locked until Level 10. Caps, typos, and extra spaces fail. Punctuation on TYKaito! and Release! is part of the string.
Spend the Gems on a carry and a farm unit, not on five Legendaries. Spend Trait Rerolls on the body you will still place next week. Launch codes are how a lot of accounts skipped the empty-board phase; they are not a reason to Immortal-pity a Leorio.
What “launch meta” meant on day one
Secret kits that shipped: Madara (Edo Tensei), Valcrad (Unleashed), Cursed Lover (Pure Love). Mythics: Goju, Bluma, Noroto, and a thin Shinoru row. Legendaries and Leorio filled the rest. Trait odds including Immortal’s one-per-team lock and Overseer pity were already in the client. That is the meta the tier lists on this wiki describe. It will move when the first real balance patch or banner lands, and that patch should get its own notes file rather than a silent rewrite of this article.
No official Trello existed at launch. Kit screenshots and code drops went through Discord. If a website claimed to be the official board on 14 August, it was not.
Week-one checklist tied to this snapshot
- Join the live experience (or a free private server if public lobbies are chaos).
- Play until Level 10, then claim every working string on the codes hub.
- Follow getting started for controls, first placements, and what not to buy.
- Summon toward one carry and one farm unit. Bluma plus Goju or Noroto is a complete launch account. A Secret is luxury, not a requirement to play Story.
- Do not dump Immortal pity on Shinoru or Leorio. Wait until a keeper exists.
This launch page stays useful as a time capsule: 14 August 2026, 1.4 million visits, 21k playing, 7k favorites, six named codes, three modes on, online co-op live. When the next Origins Project patch changes a Sosano number or retires Release!, add a new article and leave these figures intact so later readers can see what “day one” actually looked like instead of a wiki that rewrites history every time the favorite count ticks up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When did Anime Origins launch on Roblox?
14 August 2026. Origins Project shipped Story Mode, Infinite Mode, Raids, and online co-op on that day.
How many people were playing at launch?
The opening snapshot was about 1.4 million visits, 21,000 playing, and 7,000 favorites. Those numbers are a window, not a live API.
What codes dropped at launch?
The first wave included GAMESPEED, TYKaito!, THANKYOU!, Origins, AO, and Release!. Confirm they still work on the [codes hub](/codes/) before you paste.
Do I need a Secret unit to play launch content?
No. Goju or Noroto plus Bluma clears early Story. Follow [getting started](/guides/getting-started/) and summon until a Secret lands.
Were private servers paid at launch?
No. Private servers were free. Use them when a 22-player public lobby is too noisy to test placements.
