Anime Origins Trait Tier List
Keep rules, roll chances, and who should eat your Trait Rerolls.
Traits in Anime Origins rewrite a unit more than a single rarity star. A Secret with Reach I still under-performs a Mythic with Overseer. This page ranks every published trait after the 14 August 2026 Roblox launch, lists roll chances, and tells you when to keep versus smash Reroll. Mechanics and NPC steps live on how to reroll traits. Odds, pity reminders, and target matching live on the trait planner. Use both before you burn launch-code rerolls on a unit you will replace tomorrow.
Each unit stores two traits and activates one. That second slot is a holding pen, not a reason to keep rolling a dead Epic. Open Areas, walk to the Trait Reroll NPC, pick the keeper, and stop as soon as the active trait matches the job: damage for carries, income for farm, boss damage for Raid anchors.
Full trait table
| Trait | Boost | Chance | Letter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Immortal | +200% damage, -15% cooldown, +20% range, +25% income. Placement 1. One per team. After wave 10, nearby non-boss kills; others knockback and slow. Pity about 1300 / 0.1%. | Secret | S+ |
| Ascendant | +35% boss damage, +10% damage, +10% range | 19% Mythic | S+ |
| Overseer | +20% damage, -5% cooldown, +10% range, plus true damage equal to 30% of damage dealt. Pity about 900. | 4.1% Mythic | S+ |
| Rupture | +30% crit chance, +35% crit damage | 12.5% Mythic | S |
| Stride | -10% damage, -10% cooldown, +5% range. Tempo stacks -2% cooldown each, up to -20%, then +10% range. Resets after 5 seconds idle. | 14.5% Mythic | S |
| Decay | +40% DoT damage, -10% cooldown, +10% range | 16.5% Mythic | S |
| Ace | +10% damage, -5% cooldown, +10% range | 20% Legendary | A |
| Head Hunter | +20% crit chance, +25% crit damage | 25% Epic | A |
| Fury III | +15% damage | 25% Epic | A |
| Haste III | -12.5% cooldown | 25% Epic | A |
| Hustler | +15% range, +30% income | 22% Mythic | B |
| Hawkeye | +30% range | 25% Legendary | B |
| Scholar | +50% EXP | 25% Legendary | B |
| Fury II | +10% damage | 7.33% Rare | B |
| Haste II | -7.5% cooldown | 7.33% Rare | B |
| Reach III | +15% range | 25% Epic | B |
| Fury I | +5% damage | 26% Rare | C |
| Haste I | -5% cooldown | 26% Rare | C |
| Reach II | +10% range | 7.34% Rare | C |
| Reach I | +5% range | 26% Rare | D |
Nimble (-20% cooldown, 18.5% Legendary), Looting (+20% income, 11.5% Legendary), and Joker (small stats, then a fresh 0–25% random per wave at 11.4% Mythic) sit outside the letter rows as role rolls. Nimble is a clean cooldown stick. Looting is a weaker Hustler. Joker is a skip on a main carry because the wave-to-wave swing ruins planning.
S+ and S — chase these on keepers
Immortal is the best trait in the game and the most awkward to place. Plus 200 percent damage with cooldown, range, and income would already be S+, and the after-wave-10 nearby execute is extra board control. The catch is placement 1 and one Immortal per team. In online co-op, talk before you lock it so two players do not waste pity on the same rule. Put it on Madara, Valcrad, or Cursed Lover, never on Leorio.
Ascendant is the Raid and boss-chapter trait: 35 percent boss damage plus generic damage and range. Overseer adds true damage at 30 percent of the hit, which is why it shares S+ despite a lower raw damage number than Immortal. Pity around 900 rolls is the reason you do not randomly dump tokens into Fury I hoping for a miracle.
Rupture is the crit package for Third Eye units such as Valcrad. Stride looks like a damage penalty until Tempo stacks; keep it on units that never stop attacking. Decay is the DoT lane trait and the reason a Decay carry belongs in a DoT build rather than a generic DPS screenshot.
A through D — keep, hold, or smash
Ace is the best “I am done rolling for now” Legendary: damage, cooldown, and range on one row. Head Hunter, Fury III, and Haste III are honest Epic upgrades. Keep Ace on a Secret if you are saving Immortal pity. Keep Head Hunter on crit kits. Keep Haste III on slow-swinging AOE.
Hustler is the farm win: 30 percent income plus range. Put it on Bluma and stop. Hawkeye and Reach III help short-range placements but do not replace damage. Scholar is for feeding, not for clearing. Fury II and Haste II are hold-if-broke rolls. Fury I, Haste I, and Reach II are C-tier “playable until the next token.” Reach I is D: reroll it on anything you intend to keep.
Keep versus reroll by job
Carries (Madara, Valcrad, Cursed Lover, Goju, Noroto): keep S+ and S. Ace is an acceptable parked roll. Reroll Reach I–II, Fury I, Scholar, Looting, and Joker.
Farm (Bluma, sometimes Leorio): keep Hustler, Looting, Immortal’s income line if you somehow hit it, or Ace if nothing else landed. Reroll pure crit packages that never pay for the next upgrade.
Boss specialists: Ascendant first, then Overseer, then Ace. Decay is wrong here unless the boss actually takes DoT.
Open the trait planner if you want a pity checklist, then follow the click path on how to reroll traits. Do not reroll two stored traits into dust because you wanted a prettier name on a unit you will sell after the next banner.
Stop rolling a farm unit the moment Hustler or Looting appears. Keep rolling a Secret carry through Ace and Head Hunter until Overseer, Ascendant, or Immortal shows, then lock the active slot and move leftover tokens onto the next keeper. Pity exists so you do not empty the bag on Reach I panic clicks during a dry Story chapter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best trait in Anime Origins?
Immortal is S+ for raw stats and the wave-10 execute, but only one unit per team can hold it. Ascendant and Overseer are the practical S+ chases. Use the [trait planner](/tools/trait-planner/) before you commit pity.
How do I reroll traits?
Open Areas, walk to the Trait Reroll NPC, select the unit, and press Reroll. Full UI notes are on [how to reroll traits](/guides/how-to-reroll-traits/). Each unit stores two traits and uses one.
Should I put Immortal on Bluma?
Almost never. Immortal's placement limit of 1 belongs on an S+ carry. Give Bluma Hustler or Looting instead so the damage unit can wear Immortal.
Is Joker good because it is Mythic?
No. Joker rerolls stats every wave. That is a skip on a main carry. Keep Rupture, Stride, or Decay if you want a Mythic that you can plan around.
When should I stop rerolling?
Stop on S+ for carries, on Hustler for farm, and on Ace if you are broke. Parking Ace beats gambling a working Secret back down to Reach I.
