Anime Origins Currency Guide

Gems, Prisms, Trait Rerolls, and the cash Bluma prints in-match.

Currency Guide

Anime Origins splits money into two layers. Account currencies—Gems, Trait Rerolls, Stat Prisms, and Perfect Stat Prisms—survive between matches and come from codes, quests, and mode clears. In-match cash is the income you generate during a wave and spend on placements and upgrades. Mixing those layers up is how launch accounts go broke: people spend Gems like cash, or they dump Prisms into a unit that never sees the board.

This guide is the sort-order for those piles after the 14 August 2026 Roblox launch. Redeem first. Spend second. The live strings sit on Codes. Banner mechanics sit in how to summon. The roster you should actually invest in sits in the Units hub.

Gems

Gems buy summons. That is their job. The fastest way to waste them is a banner binge before you know whether you already own a carry and a farm unit. Secret and Mythic rolls change a lobby. Random Epic fillers do not. If a code hands you Gems, park them until you can name the unit you are chasing. A full board does not need another ten summons; it needs Story Mode materials and a trait plan.

Trait Rerolls

Trait Rerolls are the ticket at the Trait Reroll NPC. One item, one roll. They drop from Story Mode, challenges, quests, and codes. They restock slower than Gems, which is why they belong on keepers only. A code drop of rerolls is not a reason to gamble on a unit you will replace after the next banner. Pair a large stack with the trait planner so Immortal and Overseer pity is not spent on junk.

Stat Prisms and Perfect Stat Prisms

Stat Prisms reroll a unit’s stat line. Perfect Stat Prisms are the premium version—save them for the same keepers you would spend Immortal pity on. A Prism on a junk Epic is a Prism you will not have when your Secret carry finally lands. Codes sometimes bundle both Prism types with Gems; split the bundle mentally the moment you redeem. Normal Prisms can go on a Mythic you already decided to main. Perfect Stat Prisms wait until that unit is evolved and still in the team.

If you cannot name the unit, do not click the Prism. That single rule prevents most of the waste we see in launch lobbies.

In-match cash and Bluma

Cash inside a match does not come from the Codes button. It comes from income units, income traits, and the stage itself. Place a farm unit such as Bluma first so later waves still pay for upgrades and extra placements. Looting (+20% Income) and Hustler (+15% Range, +30% Income) belong here. Immortal also adds +25% Income, but that trait is wasted on a pure farm because of the one-per-team placement limit.

If a wave feels poor, the fix is earlier farm placement or a better income trait—not another Gem summon mid-match. Online co-op helps because another player can cover damage while you lock farm, but each account still needs its own Bluma (or equivalent) if you solo later. Public lobbies cap at 22 players; private servers are free if you want a quieter farm route.

How codes feed each currency

Reach Level 10, open the orange Codes button, and redeem the live list. Launch strings such as GAMESPEED, TYKaito!, THANKYOU!, Origins, AO, and Release! have been handing mixed bags: Gems for summons, Trait Rerolls for the NPC, and Stat Prisms (sometimes Perfect Stat Prisms) for keepers. A mixed bag is not permission to spend every item the same day. Sort first:

  1. Gems — only if you still lack a carry or farm from the Units hub.
  2. Trait Rerolls — only on the unit that will still be placed next week.
  3. Stat Prisms — same unit, after you are sure it stays.
  4. Perfect Stat Prisms — last. Treat them like a late-account resource.
  5. In-match cash — unaffected. Go place Bluma.

Codes expire. Currencies do not expire in your inventory. Redeem immediately, spend slowly. After you summon, read how to summon so leftover Gems are not dumped into the wrong banner.

Do not waste Prisms on junk

Junk means any unit you would not put on a Story Mode clear tomorrow. Temporary Epics, duplicate Legendaries you will feed for EXP, and farm units that already hit their income breakpoint do not deserve Perfect Stat Prisms. If a Prism is burning a hole in the inventory, spend a normal one on your current Mythic carry’s worst stat—not a Perfect on a unit you summoned for fun. Fun units can wait until the account has a real board.

Story Mode is the loop that restocks materials and Trait Rerolls. Infinite Mode tests whether your income and carry can sustain. Raids drop evolution materials. None of those modes require you to empty the Prism pocket first.

Convert a drop into a clear, not a binge

The useful test after any code is simple: did this reward help you finish a harder Story Mode stage with Bluma down and a named carry upgraded, or did it become ten summons you cannot remember? Walk into the next match with Gems still in the bank if the roster is already complete. Spend the Prism only after the unit survives a full clear. That is how launch currencies from 14 August 2026 turn into a team instead of a highlight reel of animations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What do Gems buy?

Summons. Park them until you can name a missing carry or farm unit, then follow [how to summon](/guides/how-to-summon/). Do not treat Gems as in-match cash.

How do codes feed these currencies?

After Level 10, the orange Codes button on the live [Codes](/codes/) list can grant Gems, Trait Rerolls, Stat Prisms, and sometimes Perfect Stat Prisms. Redeem immediately; spend only on keepers.

Should I use Perfect Stat Prisms on filler units?

No. Perfect Stat Prisms belong on units you will still field next week—usually the same keepers listed in the [Units hub](/players/). Junk Epics get nothing.

Where does in-match cash come from?

Income units such as Bluma, income traits such as Looting and Hustler, and the stage itself. Place farm first so later waves still pay for upgrades.

Does co-op share Gems or Prisms?

No. Online co-op shares the board, not your inventory. Each account still spends its own Gems, Trait Rerolls, and Prisms.
