Meta Team Compositions

A tier letter tells you whether a unit is strong. It does not tell you how two units interact, whether their passives stack or conflict, or which placement wins when the lane has only four tiles. Meta team compositions are the answer to those questions.

The meta after the 14 August 2026 launch and mid-August balance patch centers on four core synergies: the Goki-Vegita crit chain, the Bon farm-buff hybrid, Cursed Lover copy mechanics, and the Madara-Valcrad boss stun loop.

Goki-Vegita Crit Synergy

The Goki-Vegita pair is the most accessible S-tier synergy in the game. Both are Mythics that appear on standard banners. When placed near each other, both gain plus 25 percent Crit Chance.

Full comp: Goki (Super 3) with Rupture, Vegita (Super) on a Hill tile with Rupture, Bon (Purgatory) for team buffs and income, Bluma (Data Analyst) for Training Data farm, and Madara, Valcrad, or Cursed Lover as primary carry.

Bon Farm-Buff Hybrid

Bon (Purgatory) is the only Mythic that prints cash, buffs the carry, and deals usable damage in the same slot. His Master Chef Sushi provides Damage, Cooldown, and Range buffs to nearby allies.

Full comp: Bon with Stride, Bluma with Hustler, Madara or Valcrad as primary carry with Immortal or Ascendant, Vegita on a Hill tile, and Goju for Infinity slow if the mode demands it.

Cursed Lover Copy Strategy

Cursed Lover (Pure Love) is the best co-op carry because Copy stores up to four active abilities from teammates. In a party, one Cursed Lover near a Madara, a Valcrad, and a Bon can run Heaven Splitter, Coffin Trap, and Master Chef Sushi in sequence, then fire Love Beam through a cleared lane.

Madara-Valcrad Boss Loop

Madara (Edo Tensei) and Valcrad (Unleashed) together create a boss loop that neither unit can replicate alone. Madara’s Calamity marks enemies. Valcrad’s Coffin Trap stuns the marked boss for 7 seconds while Madara’s Heaven Splitter charges. Heaven Splitter fires at 500 percent damage once the trap triggers.

Co-op Composition Rules

Each player has a placement limit. Assign one player to farm, one to the primary carry with Immortal, one to Bon for buffs, and one to Hill coverage. Do not stack Immortal candidates. Only one unit per team can wear Immortal.

Placement Order

Every comp follows: Farm first (Bluma), then carry, then Bon near the carry, then Vegita on Hill, then secondary damage or boss control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best team composition in Anime Origins?

The Goki-Vegita crit synergy is the most accessible S-tier comp. Bon farm-buff hybrid is best for Infinite sustain. Madara-Valcrad boss loop is best for Raids. Cursed Lover copy is best in co-op.

Can I use these comps without Secret units?

Yes. All four synergies work with Mythics. Goki-Vegita requires only two Mythics. Bon works with any damage Mythic as the carry.

How many players can use the Goki-Vegita crit synergy?

Both bonuses apply to any Goki and Vegita within proximity range. Only one Goki and one Vegita should run the synergy per team.

What is the placement order for these comps?

Farm first (Bluma), then carry, then Bon near the carry, then Vegita on Hill, then secondary damage or boss control.

Does Cursed Lover's Copy work in solo play?

Limited. Copy stores ally actives, so solo Cursed Lover has nothing to copy unless you ran other units first. In co-op, bring Madara, Valcrad, or Bon.
