Anime Origins First Balance Patch
Challenge fixes, unit reworks, and two new codes on 16-17 August 2026.
Origins Project shipped the first Anime Origins balance patch between 16 and 17 August 2026, less than three days after the Roblox launch. The patch focused on three areas: challenge tracking bugs that blocked reward claims, attack-pattern reworks on several high-tier units, and evolution animation fixes. Two new codes, HappyPatch! and ChallengesFixed, dropped alongside the patch to compensate affected accounts.
This page is a dated snapshot of those changes. It does not replace the unit kits on the players hub or the rankings on the unit tier list. If a number here disagrees with a sub-page, the sub-page was updated after this snapshot and should be trusted instead.
Challenge tracking fix
The biggest player-facing bug at launch was challenge progress not registering. Players would complete a challenge condition, but the tracker stayed at zero, blocking the reward claim. The patch fixed the server-side callback so challenge completion now saves correctly. ChallengesFixed was the compensation code: 750 Gems, 10 Trait Rerolls, and a set of Remnants (10 Azure, 5 Violet, 2 Radiant, 1 Prismatic) used in evolution crafting.
If you claimed ChallengesFixed before the fix landed, the rewards still went through. The code did not require the bug to have hit your account first.
Unit attack-pattern reworks
Several units that dominated the launch meta received adjustments to their attack patterns and scaling. The changes targeted units whose kits were overperforming in Story Mode wave clear or underperforming in Raid boss scenarios:
- High-tier AOE units had their pack-clear efficiency tuned so they no longer one-shot entire waves before teammates can place.
- Boss-focused units received adjusted scaling so Raid encounters feel like a team effort rather than a single carry check.
- Some units with unclear tooltip text had their ability descriptions updated to match the actual in-game behavior.
The Secret units and Mythic units pages reflect post-patch kits. If a YouTube tier list was recorded on launch day, its numbers may be one patch behind.
Evolution animation fixes
Evolution animations that would freeze or skip frames on certain devices were patched. The visual fix does not change evolution requirements or material costs. Story Mode, Infinite Mode, and Raids still drop the same materials. The how to evolve guide covers the current material flow.
New code: HappyPatch!
HappyPatch! was the patch-day compensation code: 850 Gems, 10 Trait Rerolls, 5 Perfect Stat Prisms, and 5 Stat Prisms. It is still live. Redeem it at Level 10 with the orange Codes button. The full code list is on the Codes Hub.
What changed and what did not
Changed: challenge tracking, some unit attack patterns, evolution animations, and two new codes. Not changed: the trait system, the summon rates, the game modes (Story, Infinite, Raids still the three), the 22-player co-op cap, or free private servers. The trait tier list and trait planner are still accurate for the post-patch client.
If Origins Project ships a second patch, it will get its own notes page. This one stays as the mid-August 2026 snapshot so later readers can see what the first week actually changed.
